If You Walked In, Would You Stay?

Sometimes I close my eyes and I can already smell it —
that gentle mix of coffee, old books, rain on wood, and laughter.

I want to open a café.
But not a café as you know it.
A café where you belong.
Where you don’t have to hold yourself together to walk through the door.
Where someone always has hot water ready for your tea.

Where hugs are a language,
and silence is a form of listening.
There’s a fireplace and a big messy bookshelf that invites you to stay a little longer.
Artwork that speaks without words.
Therapy rooms that feel like warm blankets and a garden that knows how to breathe with you.

Here, no one fixes you.
No one hurries you.
We just see you — and in that seeing, something in you begins to remember itself.
It’s not “talk therapy.” It’s soul therapy.
Through stories, touch, laughter, and the quiet company of people who get it —
the kind of healing that happens when you feel safe enough to just be.

I’ve started writing a book about this place — this dream that keeps tugging at me. A community hub. Where everyone knows everyone.
Because maybe the dreams we dream often enough… start dreaming us back.

So tell me —
if you could walk into such a café tomorrow, what would you order for your heart?
