Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.
Not because the world suddenly became a utopia (wouldn’t that be something?), but because I haven’t read, scrolled, or tuned in to anything resembling news.
Instead, my headlines looked like this:
- The sun rose this morning. Thank God.
- Weather: kind of dry after lots of rain, alarm clock rang at precisely 7:30 a.m.
- No coffee — tea as usual.
- Local barefoot walker spotted in rare socks-and-shoes appearance. It was cold this morning.
- Toothbrushing completed successfully. Bathroom visit went according to plan.
- Children escorted to school without major incident.
- Caravan cleaned, surfaces gleaming. Yep, I’m still living in a van with 6 people. Mh, let me check… since 1131 days. Crazy right!?
- Kitchen reports high activity as food prepared for multiple hungry mouths.
Some might call that boring. I call it real life. And in the end, maybe the most uninteresting story is the one where nothing dramatic happens — and that’s exactly what makes it so beautiful.
Thanks for reading.
